Create your account

Sign up with your name and email and you're in straight away — there is no waitlist. Alden is under active development, so expect new capabilities to keep arriving after you're set up.

Install the app

Alden is a native desktop app for macOS. Setup is deliberately light: install it, sign in once, and it lives in your menu bar from then on.

Choose how you want to talk to it

The first real choice is how you interact in any given moment. Both share the same memory, so nothing is lost moving between them.

The Orb

A floating, always-on voice presence. Say the wake word and Alden is listening, replying in real-time speech-to-speech.

The Workspace

A text view of the same conversation: sidebar, chat, files, and project history in one place.

Set your permission rules

Before Alden takes any consequential action, it checks your rules across three categories, Authentication, Browser Automation, and System Actions. Each is set independently to Always, Ask Every Time, or Never.

Start cautious. Leave most categories on "Ask Every Time" until you've watched how Alden behaves, then loosen the specific low-risk ones once you're comfortable. It's easier to grant trust than to undo something you didn't expect.

Start using it

From here it works like any assistant: ask it to do something, and it either does it or checks with you first, depending on the rules you set.

Alden is under active development, so features arrive incrementally. Behaviour may change as the underlying architecture develops, including the Memory Operating System that governs what Alden remembers.
