A conceptual walkthrough of installing an Expert Advisor in MetaTrader 5 and activating it with a license key. This describes the general MT5 EA installation process, refer to the instructions in your customer portal for anything specific to your subscription.
Sign up and choose a plan through the QuantMind customer portal to activate your subscription.
An active subscription issues a license key tied to your account. This key is what connects the Expert Advisor to run and connect to QuantMind's backend on your behalf.
Download the Expert Advisor file for MetaTrader 5.
It's also in your customer portal, next to your license key.
In MetaTrader 5, open File → Open Data Folder, then place the EA file in the MQL5 → Experts folder. Restart MT5 or refresh the Navigator panel so the EA appears under "Expert Advisors."
Drag the EA from the Navigator panel onto the chart of the symbol and account you want it to place trades on. This opens the EA's settings dialog.
In the settings dialog, allow algorithmic trading for the EA, and make sure the "AutoTrading" toggle in the MT5 toolbar is enabled. Enter your QuantMind license key where prompted, then confirm.
Once it's running
MT5 typically shows a smiley-face icon in the chart's top-right corner when an Expert Advisor is active.
Check that AutoTrading is enabled and your license key was accepted before it starts placing trades on a live account.
