Download the EX5 from your account, place it in your MetaTrader 5 terminal's Experts folder, attach it to an XAUUSD chart, and activate it with your licence key.
The installation guide covers each step in order.
No. The Python build is a normal application. You download an installer, open it, and enter your licence key, the same as the MT5 Expert Advisor. There is no Python to install, no terminal, and nothing to compile.
It runs on your own machine and decides locally, exactly as the Expert Advisor does. The installation guide covers each step in order.
Your subscription issues one licence key, tied to your account. It appears in your dashboard, alongside the trading accounts connected to it.
One key, however many accounts. You don’t get a key per account. The same key goes into every Expert Advisor you run, and you decide from the dashboard which accounts it’s allowed to trade, and change that yourself at any time, without contacting support.
Treat it like a password. Anyone holding your key could run the EA. It’s masked in the dashboard and shown only after you re-enter your password.
You never type an account number, and we never receive one. When the Expert Advisor first starts with your key, the connection appears in your dashboard for you to confirm. Nothing trades until you do.
Yes. Quantmind comes in two builds, an MT5 Expert Advisor and a standalone app.
The MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor installs into your own MT5 terminal, attaches to a chart, and activates with your licence key. The installation guide covers each step.
The standalone application needs no MetaTrader at all. You install it like any other application, enter the same licence key, and point it at the account you want it to manage. The installation guide covers each step.
Both decide on your machine, trade only the account you point them at, and stop when you stop them.
Usually one of three things: the licence key hasn't been activated, the MT5 account isn't on your authorised list, or algorithmic trading is switched off in the terminal itself.
It can also be working correctly and deliberately holding back: the news risk gate stops new entries around high-impact scheduled events, and no trade is taken while it's active.
A safety layer runs inside your own MT5 terminal, so an open position keeps being managed by hard local rules, including tightening stops or closing the trade, even while it can't reach our backend.
Yes. Only accounts you’ve confirmed can be traded, and you can enable or disable algo trading on any of them yourself, instantly, from the portal without contacting support.
You never type an account number, and we never receive one. When the Expert Advisor first starts with your license key, the connection appears in your portal for you to confirm. Nothing trades until you do.
Your plan sets how many of your connected accounts may trade at the same time, 1 on Starter, 3 on Professional, 10 on Institutional, and you move that between accounts with the algo-trading switch, as often as you like.
Disabling algo trading stops new positions being opened; it does not close positions already open, which remain yours to manage.
There are two separate numbers, and they work differently.
How many can trade at once is set by your plan: 1 account on Starter, 3 on Professional, 10 on Institutional. You control this with the algo-trading switch and can move it between your accounts freely.
How many different accounts you can connect in a month is five times that: 5 on Starter, 15 on Professional, 50 on Institutional. So a Starter subscription can hold five connected accounts and trade whichever one you pick, one at a time.
What uses one of your places:
The second number exists to prevent abuse of the service, in particular one subscription being shared between several people. It resets on your subscription’s monthly billing date, not the 1st of the month, and the date is shown in your dashboard. From then, every place is free and you can connect entirely different accounts.
If you have a genuine reason to connect more before your reset date, open a ticket and we’ll review it. We may decline where the pattern suggests the subscription is being shared or resold, which section 8 prohibits. The full rule is in section 6 of the Terms & Conditions.
Open your dashboard and choose Disable algo trading on that account. It takes effect immediately, it’s free, and you can switch it back on whenever you like.
This is the control to reach for if something looks wrong, because it works from anywhere, including your phone, and doesn’t depend on the machine running the Expert Advisor or the connector. It tells our backend to stop, so it holds whatever else happens locally.
It does not close positions that are already open. Anything already running stays as it is and remains yours to manage in your terminal or with your funding company. Disabling stops Quantmind opening and managing trades from that point on; it is not an emergency close.
Switching algo trading off never costs you anything, and the account stays connected. It is also how you move your trading from one connected account to another: switch one off, switch the next one on.
Quantmind stops trading on it immediately, and the account disappears from your dashboard. Positions already open stay open and remain yours to manage.
Deleting does not free a place for a different account. We record which accounts you’ve connected during the month, and a deleted account keeps its place until your accounts reset on your next billing date.
So deleting in order to make room for a new account doesn’t work, and the portal warns you before you do it. What you can always do is add back an account you’ve already connected this month; that costs you nothing.
If you only want to stop an account trading for a while, disable algo trading instead. That is free, instant, reversible, and keeps everything set up.
After the reset you can delete the accounts you were using and connect entirely different ones.
Three plans, billed monthly or annually:
Starter $149/month: 1 linked account, core engine, standard risk presets.
Professional $249/month: 3 accounts, order-flow module, news risk gate, priority support.
Institutional $499/month: 10 accounts, all modules, early-release channel, direct support.
Annual billing saves 20% ($1,430, $2,390 and $4,790 a year). You can cancel at any time.
You don’t pay twice for the same days. The pro-rated usage period is worked out from the days left on your current plan, that amount is credited against the new plan, and you’re charged only the difference.
The higher plan’s limits, including how many live accounts you can run at once, apply as soon as the change goes through rather than at your next renewal. You can see this on the subscription page in your portal.
No trial, but two ways to evaluate it properly. The Strategy Tester runs the complete system against historical data built into the download, free and without a subscription. And with an active subscription you can forward-test on a demo account against live data before putting a funded account behind it.
Use the password reset first. If you're locked out entirely, or your account has been suspended, open a ticket: it only needs an email address, so you can reach us without being signed in.
No. Quantmind does not guarantee profits, a specific win rate, or any other trading outcome, and no automated trading system can. Automated trading carries a genuine risk of loss.
Not yet. We don't publish win rates, performance figures, or backtested results, because we don't have independently verified numbers to stand behind. We'd rather say nothing than something misleading about a system that trades real money.
No. Nothing on this site or in these docs constitutes financial or investment advice.
The Expert Advisor runs on MetaTrader 5 with a broker offering XAUUSD. Platforms that are not MetaTrader-based are not supported.
It's built to respect common drawdown and risk limits used by funded and prop-firm accounts. That's a design goal, not a guarantee of compliance with any specific firm's rules, and confirming that automated trading is permitted under your account's terms is your responsibility.
Yes, and we email everyone with an account before they do. The notice names the date the change takes effect and links to the full document.
Continuing to use Quantmind on or after that date means you accept the update. If you don’t agree, you can close your account before then and keep access to anything you have already paid for until the end of that period.
