A conceptual walkthrough of installing the Quantmind desktop application and activating it with a license key. It runs on your own machine and needs no MetaTrader 5: it reaches your account through your prop firm's or broker's API instead, for accounts MetaTrader cannot reach. Refer to the instructions in your customer portal for anything specific to your subscription.
Your customer portal offers the Quantmind application for your system, alongside your license key.
Open the file you downloaded and follow your system's usual installation step. Nothing else needs to be installed.
Open the app and enter the license key from your customer portal. One key covers your connections; the portal shows how many of them are in use, so you can see whether a slot is free before you start another.
Paste the API key your funding company issues you. It is stored on this machine and sent only to your firm, never to us. Then choose the account you want the app to manage and start it.
It runs on your machine, decides there, and stops when you stop it.
Once running, the app shows the account it is managing and its connection state. If it reports that no license slot is free, the portal will show which connections are using them, and you can release one there rather than waiting for it to time out.
Once active on a live account, the Quantmind app can open, modify, and close real trades.
Confirm your account, license key, and risk settings are correct before starting it.
